It has been a very long day and a very long last four days or was it only 3? We arrived at 6:30 pm to our hotel got a phone call at 7:30 pm from our translator and he told us to be ready in the hotel lobby at 7:00 am to go and pick up Emily. Your prayers and ours were answered about an hour after Emily's giving and receiving cerimony today. We were having lunch at the most beautiful spot on the Vung Tau Beach without Eli. We were getting ready to return to Ho Chi Minh a two and a half hour drive, when our translator received a call from Hanoi saying Eli's paper work was ready. Not a momment to soon! We went back to the orphanage and picked him up and took him straight back to the office we had just been at for Emily's Giving and Receiving Ceremony and had another one for Eli. They are both beautiful and seem to be very good natured. Eli is pretty scared though and clings to Jeff. Emily is a very good baby. Our kids are very very excited and are a tremendous help. We will write more later as we are very tied now. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for praying.
Blessings,
Jeff and Sherri

I am so happy for your family! I have been keeping all of you in my prayers, including that little Eli's paperwork would not take too long. (The Frank's told us Sunday that they had to wait several weeks for their second child's paperwork to be completed). Prayers were indeed answered. Isn't is great that our God works in such miraculous and mysterious ways?! I pray that your journey continues to be full of joy, good health, and safety. Can't wait to see all 8 of you!!!
Love, Jill
Praise the Lord!!! Our God is SO good!!! I am crying great tears of joy! Oh, I am so happy that you were able to get Eli and Emily both on the same day!! What a wonderful answer to prayer!
Congatulaions on being a family of eight!!! I can't wait to see your new family photo!
I am praying for each of you... especially Eli and Emily as they begin bonding with their new incredible family.

I am grinning ear to ear with tears in my eyes. God is Awesome!
Sherri and Jeff- I am so happy I can not even imagine how you are feeling. To tell you the truth I am a little relieved that my babysitting services may not be needed after all (if you had to go back)! Just kidding, I would have loved it. We can not wait to meet the new family members. I already miss our phone conversations, so hurry back.

Hi Family of Eight, Praise The Lord! How wonderful to hear you have Emily and Eli and that everything went good and fast. I can't wait to meet Emily and Eli. Safe Journey Home. Love Ya, Cousin Becky
What wonderful news!!! All I can say is "Praise the Lord!". One can just feel the Lord in the midst of all of this. May His Blessings pour down on you. I will be praying in the days to come as you all bond together as a family. I'm sure that it will take a lot of patience, but God is the great giver of patience. I know that He is going to give you all that you need in the days ahead. Praying for a safe trip back. Hugs, Karen
We echo everyone's congratulations! Mark and I are so thrilled for you. God IS bigger than any government, as just seen by Eli's paperwork going thru. Praise His Name! Awesome! Can't wait to hear all your stories when you return. How long do you think you'll stay? Enjoy beautiful Vietnam while you're there. You're probably not even over jet lag yet (although it's usually not as bad going over as it is returning), but I hope you feel comfortable getting around real soon so you can see some sights.
Rick

Jeff, Sherry and gang,
Wow. I cannot begin to imagine the joy you all must be experiencing. I believe it says in James, that religion that God our father finds pure and faultless is this, to look after widows and orphans in their distress and keep them from being polluted by the world"....i can't wait to meet them. i can't imagine what our next family get together will be like with them. God is awesome!
Love,
Rachel and Jamie
